I'm also looking at Shinko white walls but it's expensive. I've spent a lot lately so I think I have to wait for few months to change my tires. Good choice Kenny!
Phat,

I know the tires, mounted and balanced are going to cost me about $400.00 U.S. I am going to have to replace the rear tire sometime during the next 1000 miles. I have about 5000 miles now and the rear tire is looking a little thin.

Mine are Shinko 777. The research I did indicated they are quite popular and considered a good tyre, however they are a softer compound than the Dunlops (one tyre retailer called them Dunflops) and so probably won't last quite as long. Having said that they grip and corner really well so I guess it's a bit of a trade off. I found them to be at the lower end of the price range as well which was a bonus.
I just like the look of them really.:grin2:

Hi all ive been reading this post and looked at all your pictures. I khow someone said do what you want not what other
peeps say but i think go with the white wall tyres. If you powder coat the wheels thats it your stuck with it and yes they would be have to be keep clean. Its about the same cost and you whould have nice new grip tyres. They look just as nice almost as the wheels white. Best of both. I think that pic of the black bike with white wall tyres looks well nice. And he or you ant stuck with that look for ever. I only joined this forum last night and gunna post a picture of my 500 rebel soon. In the uk you cant get yellow or red or blue bikes. Ive got a yellow one. I paid £150 extra to get it. Ive so far got a lovely slip on can thats in my opinion the best sound and looks of any can so far its lextek ive got white letters hrc racing sticker.s on my wheel rims only £10 on e bay. All colours available. My next upgrade will be my seat. Im keeping the seat and pillion pad and taking them to a motorcycle seat custom firm and gunna get it covered they can do some top one off jobs there. I keep thinking about taking off the pillion seat but so far i cant get myself to remove it. Im really sure my rebel is gunna look really good. In the uk its gunna be a one off lol. Im also after them silver side panel.s with the holes in. I might paint my rear leg rest hangers the same yellow as the tank. Ive also got a stainless rad cover. Im really good at finding stuf online and always checking you tube for ideas lol.
