This looks like a winner! Wonder if anyone has installed one on their Rebel 500 yet.
Just wondering if the performance gains (although small) and improvement in aesthetics is worth the
expense.

Really nice and I like it. :smile2: Hmm.

Wow, I've been trying to convince myself to get a TBR, and was almost there, but now this has thrown a spanner in the works. I love the sound of this thing. I played this up against several TBR clips and this seems to have a silkier rumble. More Barry White if you will.

I just installed this today. Fitment is good, but Yoshimura's torque spec for the clamp is only 6 ft-lbs, which seems way too low. I had to tighten the clamp way more to stop it from leaking.

Looks great on the bike. I rode for about 45 mins, and the inlet pipe has already taken on a nice golden tint.

The muffler seems noticeably lighter than stock. It is also angled higher than stock, which should make it easier to use a rear stand.

The sound is very nice, but is much much louder than I was expecting (even at idle). I used to only wear earplugs on the highway, but I will definitely need to wear them all the time now. I might try adding a baffle if I can't get used to the extra volume.

Overall I am happy with the purchase so far. Just be aware that the muffler is seriously loud. The comparison video doesn't do it justice at all IMO.

Yoshimura Installed

I thought about and looked at all the exhaust possibilities offered on EBay and other websites, but decided to go with the best quality I could get. Yoshimura looks and sounds great. Easy to install and according to the information from Yoshimura no need for remapping. From my experience that's absolutely correct. Runs great - no popping! JOMO

BTW I have no idea how I got this photo upside down....
