The Shad side cases are great!

So both my passenger seat kit (with footpeg assemblies) and my Shad 23L Bags finally came! I only stripped a couple of 6mm hex socket bolts on the install, but the internet was full of great advice for getting them out and dealt with. I had no problem with the bolts and spacers etc that Shad sent, I ended up with a spare set of spacers that seem to go with the larger bag set.

The cases won't fit a helmet, but they do a great job with both my work laptop and with light Xmas shopping at local tourist traps. I tested them today going to Cabrillo Nat'l Monument lighthouse, and then loading up the bags with t-shirts, books, and 8 pint cans of beer from a local craft brewery. Aces all around!

You look like you are having a heap of fun on your Honda. I am short-statured also and 71 years old. I have owned 18 bikes since I began riding in 1966. Presently I am without a ride because my wife, Carmen and I are serving an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are from Boise, but are serving at Coronado Navy base. So we are familiar with San Diego and Point Loma. Our mission will end in September 2022 so we are looking to buy a Rebel 500 because it is smaller and lighter weight than my last Suzuki Intruder. Thanks for your recommendations of the saddlebags.
