Finally had a nice day to do some work on the bike. Put on the musarri and couldn’t be happier. Looks better then I thought it would. Started it up with the baffle in and it sounded better but it wasn’t what I was looking for. So I popped the baffle out and man was it music to my ears. Sounds like a motorcycle now. I also put in the K&N air filter while I was at it. Packed up the tools as fast as I could and jumped on for a ride. Wow does it sound amazing now. No popping or backfire. Has a nice rumble to it and I love it. Still need to paint the clamp black as I want to make it match the rest of the bike. Need to take it in the dealer and have them tune it because the dealer said if I change the pipe I will need to tune it to keep my warranty. Not sure how true that is but I’ll do it anyway couldn’t hurt to do. Didn’t notice if a made or lost any power from adding both the slip on and filter so I couldn’t say for sure. One thing is for sure I’m digging the sound of it :grin2:

I bought a Musarri muffler for my Honda Rebel 500 2019 It takes some timer to get it. I will report what it is like. My stock muffler is very quite. i just want something a little louder so I do not think I am riding a moped LOL but not too loud because I do not want to be obnoxious to my neighbors or my hearing destroyed. was 150 USA dollars but 50 shipping and tax about 210 USA dollars 4-10-2020

Just put the Musarri on my 500 and like another member (can't find post) it wasn't loud enough with the restrictor and too loud without. I then drilled out the restrictor holes with a 5/16" bit and am very happy with it now. I may go back and add a hole in the end of it but for now all I've done is simply drilled out the existing holes to a larger size. Seems to be a good sweet spot for now and to top if off, I can now use my rear swingarm jack the way it was intended (with exhaust out of the way) plus the Musarri is less than half the weight of the stock muffler.

Does anyone have the Musarri exhaust fitted with panniers? I've just got a pair of SHAD23 with the 3P mounting kit but the bottom of the pannier touches my exhaust. It's the diablo twinshot (longer version). The Musarri looks like it is shorter with less of an incline so may do the job but it's hard to tell. Anyone got a similar setup that can confirm there is enough clearance?

Thanks,

I ended up taking off the Musarri muffler and went back to stock on my 300.
It was just to loud. With the cat in the muffler, it was like running a straight pipe.

Maybe the 500's are a bit quieter since the cat is in the header pipes, don't know because I never heard one.

Put 110 miles on the 300 today with the Musarri muffler. It could be half as load with the baffle in and I would like it better.

Runs good, makes the little 300 sound faster than it is when going through the gears, but people hear you. I didn't have any problems or issues with popping when decelerating like the 500 guys have stated.

Got 78.90 mpg on the tank of gas. Part of the miles with stock muffler.

All in all I think it is a good muffler for the price $229.95.

Installed the Musarri on the 300. Sounds good with the baffle in.

Take care putting on the exhaust gasket supplied, I cracked it slightly sliding it on, not quite square when I started pushing it on. Should be fine after clamp is tight.

When the rains stop will ride it and see how it sounds and runs going down the road.

I really don’t believe you would need to tune or get some ECU modulator for a slip on. The cat is in front of them slip on, and I don’t believe there’s any hp to really be gained from the slip on. Popping is just a loss of back pressure, and it won’t hurt anything, the original huge muffler probably had poppong too, it was just too silent to notice. You do you, but if a dealer tells you to tune a slip on, I think that dealer wants money for doing nothing and that’s bad business.
