Well...I'm caving lol.
The Coffman has the look I want, price I like, and sounds good in the videos I've seen.
Only worry is the performance, but for $200 I'll take the gamble.

You are paying 200 bucks for a metal pipe you could buy for 10 dollars.
Are you saying that about Coffman, or all slip ons in general?
Genuine question, what makes the TBR worth $450, coffman $200, and chinese knock offs $50??
Quality, engineering, R&D, cost to manufacturer, brand popularity, etc.

I bought the TBR because it was built specifically for this bike and they have an excellent reputation.

This is one reason I was leaning towards the TBR originally. The actual dollar amount doesn't bother me, it's just the ratio of the part to that of the bike if that makes sense. If this was a $10k bike i'd drop the money on a TBR right now, $4700 bike...eh.

I spoke to Harley friend and when I told him it cost about $500 bucks he told me to quit my b****ing cause he spent $1,500 on his exhaust and to stop being a cheap a$$ :|

I had some free time and was curious what the Rebel 300 would sound like without the factory muffler. It's ridiculously loud is the answer!

Shows potential with an aftermarket exhaust. Any who, I thought it might be interesting for some of us with a 300 since theres already a video for the 500 without a muffler. Wouldn't recommend anyone actually riding without the muffler.

Thank you!!! I was wondering what it would sound like without the exhaust... honestly how bad is it to straight pipe it or just throw a dime city cycle or emgo slip on? This bike is nice but my friends give me **** and call it a scooter cuz it's so quite lol. I want to straight pipe it so bad, what is the worst thing that could happen? Will the computer not auto adjust?

The worst that will happen is your neighbors might get grumpy if you leave for work @5 AM.

Well in the video I barely touched the throttle for the rev, it was seriously THAT loud. Almost painfuly loud to stand that close, yet alone ride it. From a comfort standpoint I wouldnt do a straight pipe. I'm sure cheap slip on will help and sound real good too. I'm considering an emgo too, but the exhaust pipe is angled before the muffler. So you'd need to either use a shorty slip on, or fabricate a mid pipe.

I have the Coffman exhaust on my 500. I had to rotate the pipe to get the angle I wanted but the fit is perfect. Still has the factory cat and super loud. Didn't notice any decrease in power.

I've ridden it around the past weekend and gave the computer some time to adjust. No power loss now.
I had posted the sound clip in a different thread, but I figure I'd post here again since this thread is only about the coffman.

Did you notice a change in shifting speeds on the 500? I know dollarbill181 said his changed 5-10 mph for each gear, just curious since I have a 500 and am looking into getting this exhaust.

I'm shifting at higher speeds with the Two Brothers exhaust as well, but I attribute that to just being able to hear the bike, where I mostly couldn't before.

Just like Cueballer said, I just shift higher in the RPMs because of the sound of the engine.
