I am totally confused. I picked up my new 1100T this morning and immediately realized that I will need a taller windshield (it was a 58 mile ride home, mostly on two lane rural roads). The Gustafsson windshield looks like what I'll need (I'm 6'2" so will need to tall windshield), but I'm confused about brackets. Will I need additional mounting hardware, or do these windshields just replace what is currently on the bike? And thanks to all for posting your thoughts on different windshields, it's been truly helpful.

Hey, welcome to the party!

If you have the 1100T model with factory fairing, and you order from Gustfsson, make sure you order this one that says "bagger" in the name. Honda Rebel 1100T Bagger 2023-24 - Gustafsson Plastics
DONT order the one that says CMX1100

Thanks Shapeshifter, I figured out which windshield I would need to order, but my confusion was over the need for brackets. I think I finally figured out that all I need is the windshield and it will just replace what is already there with the 4 hold downs. Right?

Yes, that is correct. If you have the 1100T model factory fairing, you wont need any additional brackets because the fairing bracket is also the windshield bracket.

@ShapeShifter, have you considered using OEM windshield as a support (to compress it more to the fairing) behind the PUIG?

Also, I'm considering to buy a PUIG high road, may I ask how tall are you?
I am 5'10 with a 31" inseam. The airflow hits me on the chin. But I have been using a clip-on visor extension with the High Road that moves the airflow over my helmet and is like night and day difference. As far as your idea to use the OEM windscreen, its a good idea, but not necessary. The High Road doesn't flex that much. I still use it.

Thanks for the information.
The other option was the Gustafsson Plastics 12.5" for me but shipping it to where I live makes it ~300€ so I wil l continue with puig then.

May I ask for your clip-on visor of choice?

Also, does the puig vibrate a lot?

I used this one. https://a.co/d/7AYxVqM

The Puig does not vibrate at all, it just flexes a little at high speeds. It's fine.

Another update on the Puig High road. I quickly designed and printed some of these support washers. They are exactly 2.25mm thick and they allow me to tighten the windscreen bolts more as well as supporting more of the windscreen against the metal fairing bracket. This is a great improvement in reducing the flex of the screen, but doesn't stop it entirely. The Puig plastic is just too thin.

Hey, are you happy with the washers, do they make a serious difference?

Yeah, it's not you, it's them LOL!

In the link I posted it has a similar diagram but shows the factory holes. https://bikescreen.com/cdn/shop/fil...0tmountsv2Artboard1_ead26ee0-46d8-4593-8b37-bde3efa8b35c_large.png?v=1706893139

I think that bracket they show in your link is the same one edwardderby5 has posted above, and I believe that is either....

Some comments on Madstad.
I was an early adopter with Madstad windshield for my 1100. Waited about a year for them to make one to get one. Quality of the parts were very good. I had a couple of issues with the design and fit of the screen and fixed it. I still have it on my 1100 now going on 2+ years. Looking at Madstad's latest version for the 1100 model I see they changed the mounting system and shape of the shield. It looks like it sits closer to the headlight and bars. They also supply a bigger Harley style shaped shield as shown on their site. I like the shield's ability to tilt or raise/lower with just 2 thumb screws. Being removable is useful.

I have the Memphis Shades system for my 22 1100CMX . I originally bought the 17” clear but after a year and 7500mi I switched to the 19”. This was a great upgrade and the quality and ease of installation was great! Also having 2 different sizes is a one minute time to change.👍

Has anyone experimented with making or retro-fitting front fork deflectors to minimize buffeting?

I have a 2024 (non-T) with the batwing fairing and the 15.5" Gustafsson and get terrible buffeting. I'm 5'7" and the top of the screen is about chin-level.

After watching some youtube vids about buffeting being cause by air coming up from the ground more than the windscreen, I started experimenting with fork deflectors and I can say it definitely works.

I have a Puig clip-on deflector that I've tried and it does help some. Although, it looks terrible IMHO and only works if I put it high enough that I have to look through it, which I don't like at all.

I bought the Memphis Shades fork deflectors and they help about as much as the Puig does, maybe a little less, but just aren't large enough to make enough difference.

Anyone got any other ideas?

I have a 22 non t and the Memphis Shades windshield is the BEST ONE. Easy installation and you can choose from different heights and colors 😎👍 Does a great job without too much disturbance in high winds.

I'm looking for a windscreen to get things quieter. I started with stock which I thought was loud until I installed the Puig high road one. It was twice as loud as stock. It hit me right in the face and even with ear plugs was too loud.

I returned it, installed the stock one, and am now looking for a new one. I might try the Gustafsson. Not sure what size though. I'm 5'11" with tall torso. Suggestions? Thx
