Hey folks,

So I’ve adjusted my chain a few times now but one thing keeps bothering me - Once I’m done with tightening everything to specifications, the right hand side adjustment (don’t know the proper name) behind the axle but is wobbly and clicking.

When everything is loose, it’s firm and I can’t budge it at all like the left hand side, but once I tighten the left hand adjuster bolt and tighten the right hand side adjuster bolt and axle nut, the right hand side behind the axle nut where the adjuster bolt is, suddenly starts doing a clicking sound and feels loose.

I have attached a video to the link below. Hope you can see and hear.

Should I be concerned?

Any advice is appreciated

Leaving axle nut tight use 5 mm allen key on bolt to hold it, then loosen the locking nut with 17 mm wrench. Back nut off a couple of turns, then lightly turn bolt in just enough till the slack is taken up, then re-tighten locking nut.

Did OP ever fix the looseness issue? I know I am extremely late to the party but I am curious if OP worked out a fix or just kept riding it the way its been

Also easily solved by balling up an old polishing rag and placing it between the chain and sprocket on the lower chain run and rolling the bike forward, holding it there on the rear brake prior to tightening the rear axle.
