I want the ABS version, but my dealer just got a 500 no abs in shop this week. They just contacted me saying they are going to try to get me the ABS within 2 weeks. I can only hope, otherwise I have to wait another month before they ship another set of 500 ABS to the midwest

Don't forget to check the social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and twitter since often dealers will post about deliveries and shipments, after all it helps them get more sales and get people into the dealer so they can make that sale.

Your dealer already received one? Where in the midwest? I'm in Illinois and waiting [im]patiently.

I'm having a ball, just over 500 miles on the counter and already doing stints of 80mph plus on the freeway, it remains stable, even with side wind.

How are you finding gas mileage to be now that you have a reasonable amount of miles on?

I am surprised how many people have/want the ABS model. Is it because of the color black? Or the safety feature of ABS? Or both?

I would prefer a gray bike with abs. But in the end, the abs was more important to me than the color. I'd say this is probably true for most. After all, you can get black in the non-abs if it's about the color.

The ABS adds a significant safety measure and the cost difference is not that significant. I was bummed about it being black only but I'm considering getting a custom paint job...
