Ok so since I finally got some riding time I figured I would post a review of my new bars.
TC Bros. 1" Drag Bar
So I looked around for a good drag bar that didn't have a ton of pullback.
I wanted to get the Honda H2C ones but they were not really available in the USA yet without over paying from thailand.
I installed the bars using the H2C risers. These risers are needed because you have to keep the stock handle bar bracket to be able to mount the Speedo.
Honda Requires a hole to be drilled in to both sides to lock the controls in place. It made it a little bit of pain but they installed pretty easy.
As far as handling. I honestly think they handle a ton better than the stock ones. I do want to add that I did install new adjustable fork caps at the same time so I can't really be sure how much they affected handling compared to the handle bars. But the bars just felt so much better to me. it just seems the bike is more responsive with these bars, and I am not even sure how that is possible. So far I love them and I am glad I did swap. Also the bars are hollow so you can add whatever bar ends you would like. I have not installed bar ends yet but they already seem to have less vibration than the stock ones. I have the 500 so there wasn't a ton of vibration in the first place.
Pros:
1. Price- $49.95
2. Made in USA
3. Thicker gauge metal than most imported bars.
4. 2" Pullback
5. Improved handling/dampening
Cons:
1. Have to drill your own holes for controls.
2. Would likely require risers so they don't interfere with the bike when turned.
3. Paint seemed to scratch easily. (When installing they seems to scratch pretty easy)
