Hey all, so I'm still waiting for my TBR slip on to clean up the look of the exhaust, but I got some pictures of my bike with the saddle bags and luggage rack.

OK dumb question, since I've always attached my bags in other ways. People who throw their saddlebags over a seat.... how are they attached to the bike?

no good question! I actually wanted to put the saddle bags UNDER the seat.

Sadly honda has made them so they don't fit this way. there are saddle bag stays I attached to the fender at the same points the luggage rack attaches. The bags have clips that clip to the saddle bag stays, and then the leather strap you see in the top down view is tied to the passenger hold on the pillon.

There are some rubber risers under the pillon that sit flush against the fender, I'm thinking I might try and shave them to half their size, and that might allow room for the saddle bags to fit under the seat. I'd also have to cut some of the straps to make them fit better around the luggage rack that way too.

Be sure to report back once the TBR is installed.
I was considering the TBR but it looks like it's angled upwards and would be pointed directly at my saddlebags, hence why I went with the shorty slip on.

Installing the little steel ball was a pita, but once you figure out a method of doing it, the other side will be easier.
Otherwise install is pretty easy.

cool, thanks!! Def they could be a bit more clear on installing the front bolt on the seat. How is one to tighten down a bolt with a seat on top of the bolt?? Did you have to take the fender off to get that front bolt sinched down? Looks like tinkering with the steel ball will be fun too....hahahah

You don't tighten the front bolt on the seat.
w/ the collar it kind of slides on there (same as when you hang a picture frame on a wall).
The back bolt tightens fine.

I'm rather fond of the cheap big bags from Jafrum. These were $70, but it looks like they just got raised to $80 .

Well these throw overs come off with four clips and a tie.

You remove all the rubber risers, because now the "pleather" yoke acts as the cushion for the fender... I installed mine under the seat, so a passenger can still sit, and it's more secure from theft.
