For those who've gotten their new Rebels already, has anyone looked to see if there's a way to modify tbe stock exhaust, i.e. maybe removeable baffles, for increased sound without having to go aftermarket?

Just a thought, so figured I'd ask here.

Mine SHOULD be at the dealer tomorrow, so fingers crossed! :D

I removed the entire slip-on portion (and the mounting bracket)..... sounds awesome on the 500!!!
I've done the same thing. Can confirm sounds sexy. I actually went to AutoZone and made a two inch pipe. I'm trying to get it to fit perfect without welding so I need to order some exhaust brackets and exhaust wrap. I'm kind of just waiting for a set of pipes that go straight back from the header. O2 deleto cuz. Gonna need a new map though I'm assuming which is a whole nother pile of money.

I would not recommend riding without the slip-on. The sound may be nice but I think the engine does not like it.
That's not true. This bike has an 02 sensor that's not affected by taking off the muffler. The affect beside the sound is minimal. The computer can compensate for the extra backpressure. I'll see the real damage when I look at my valves but I doubt there will be much carbon build up. I'm looking for a legitimate obd2/tach. Found one I think might be sexy enough.
