I would suspect those could effect your night vision making it harder to see road obstacles.

the 1100 has a dedicated OP (optional) accessory circuit to power add-on accessories

the OP circuit wire/plug is under the seat currently hooked to the USB charger

the OP circuit is switched and protected with a 10A fuse

splice into the R/Y 12v(+) wire and the Bl ground (-) wire to power your accessory fusing the LED (+) wire appropriately

access the accessory wires/plug as follows to make the connection

The light faces forward.
It does not face the rider.

I suspect the lights shining forward will reflect off of parts of the motorcycle shining back into the riders eyes. I admit this would depend on the bike which is why I say it is a possible problem.
