Last week I traded in my 2011 Kawasaki 650 Versys for Rebel 500ABS. The reason I did is because of my height. I could only touch ground except on my tip toes when stop and on windy day I had lean it to one side. I’ve had Honda 70, Honda 125, and Honda 175, dirt bikes in 70s and 80s before monoshock, and front forks increased the wheel clearances. Then I went to Honda 650 Nighthawk street bike. After several years I purchase a 2010 Kawasaki KLR 650 (dual-purpose bike) and installed a lowing kit, but I still could touch the ground flat footed. After driving mostly on street I decide to stay with street bike so purchased the 2011 Kawasaki 650 Versys. Now since I’m older and want a bike easier to drive that I can touch ground when stop and Rebel 500 is great bike for me. At first it felt like minibike, but after I drove it for a while I realize it as some real muscle.
