Motorcycle.com posted a review on the 2017 Honda Rebel 500.

He agrees that it does look real good, and Honda did a good job leaving it as a blank slate. The rear section seems to be very easily removed which is cool.

I am excited as well that the back fender is removable, I will get a longer seat at some point for a passenger if it doesn't come standard on the 500. All you need to do is just mount the brake light and you're off.

I don't think you could get a longer seat. The frame of the bike goes up to directly behind the fron seat. To have a passenger seat you would need to keep the rear fender on or have smoething custom made.

Yeah, I was thinking of having something custom made.. I like the idea of a big long seat which is mounted to the frame for two people, and the brake light being attached to the back of the seat. If that makes sense. Or put a longer seat on and shorten the rear fender..

I'm personally not going to be taking any passengers so a seat for me alone is okay. Removal of the rear fender to see how it would look is definitely something I would be doing though
