Could someone who has drained their motor oil please confirm if the OEM drain plug on the Rebel has a magnet in it?

Am contemplating on changing the one on the bike to a magnetic drain plug.

I cannot speak for the Rebel 500. My 2014 CB500XA came with a non-magnetic drain plug and I replaced it with this (MP-01 gold magnetic drain plug):

The thing needs a 5/8 inch/16 mm wrench, IIRC. As I have SAE and metric wrenches, I don't worry and just use the one with the best fit.

If their most recent bikes are coming with magnetic drain plugs than I'm pretty sure these will come with as well. You could also easily give a call to the dealer and ask one of the guys there. I'm sure they'd know the answer.

no, they do not come with the magnetic drain plug, or at least mine didn't.
