I am looking for bags that mount to the rear seat and are as versatile as possible in terms of going on a sissy bar in the future or being moved to another bike. I am leaning towards these two:

The tall one seems more useful and could be tossed on the Vstrom pillion as well. I just worry it is too big for the small rebel. It would mainly be for touring and big errands around town.

I am open to suggestions. I also have a givi top box, but that would require getting a rack and an adapter plate and then in the end I would have an ugly ass top box hanging on to the butt.

I recently installed one of the Kriega 20L packs (i've put 30L in a link below):

If you get the accessory kit here: https://kriega.com/sports/touring/xdiavel-us-drypack-fit-kit

you can remove the bolts around the rear fender, install the nylon webbing loops and put the bolt back through and tighten with an Allen key. You can then buy the other drypaks for additional storage capacity, should you need it. fully waterproof. Thereby leaving the rear seat in place.

Thank you, Reb.

I ended up going a different route with a 70 liter dry bag. I have a feeling it's going to swallow the bike.
