Finally got some of my parts installed on my 2017 rebel 500. Mostly Amazon specials that I made work but they've been sitting around for awhile while I collected the right parts and hardware. Still need to find something to get rid of the front blinkers. Probably some bar end blinkers when I get new handlebars

New appearance mods are:

Looks good! Just curious about how you mounted the taillights. Did you have to drill new holes in the rear fender or did it fit in the existing ones?

Nice, Randy. Big change in appearance just from the head and tail lights...

Just curious - have you noticed much of a change in the way the bike runs with the slip-on exhaust and K&N?

Too bad you had to use so much magic marker on your license plate. Hope the authorities understand... (Just kidding...) :wink2:

Yeah I just drilled a couple holes next to the existing ones and it bolted right up. Have to cut the bolts though they may be too long and hit the tire while riding

I take it the relay is needed to keep the LEDs flashing at the correct rate? Also would that headlight fit in the stock housing? Thanks! Looks great!
I don't know for sure if it's needed but I jusr assumed and got it just in case. The headlight does fit in the stock housing but I had to kinda force it to stay in with parts from the stock bracket and some set screws. Also all the stock wiring has to hang out the back all exposed and looks ugly. The bucket I bought comes with clips to hold it in tight and center. Also allows the wiring to fit better if you cut off the rubber boots and feed the harness ends through. Can't fit all the wiring like the stock bucket but you can make it look alright. Took about an hour of trial and error. Photo is what wiring looks like behind bucket

I am about to install the same taillight. i noticed it only has one ground wire. what did you do with the extra grounds for the turn signals?
yes it looks very good on the bike. one unfortunate thing here in Australia is that i am only able to use the turn signals on this tail light as Auxilaries
and still have to mount to main turn signals as they have to be a minimum of 18cm apart as per our legislation.
