Jalopnik posted a review about the Honda Rebel 500 and titled it "The 2017 Honda Rebel May Be The Coolest Beginner Bike"

Basically, Honda hoped to remove as many of motorcycling’s intimidations as possible while hanging on to just enough of a Hell’s Angels vibe to make new riders feel cool.

As per the usual Jalopnik reviews, it's fun to read and full of metaphors that'll make you chuckle.

The negatives come with comments such as it isn't really exciting to ride and not really nimble either.

I don't know about the "not exciting" bit, I do get an uncontrollable grin from time to time. And when you nearly hit a goose, wild turkey or a bull in the road, that's a pretty exciting moment! Haha. Yes, around here animals are a bigger threat than traffic.

Where do you live? All I get is moose the size of a semi, or dear (but they usually road kill(, and the odd fox. hahaha

i'd love to be a jalopnik reviewer getting a new bike for a week - take a week off from work to test the new machine - but i don't think i would be able to write it up as well as that

I find bike reviewers are typically really on point with their writing. Look at car reviews and you can see, almost anyone can do it

But it does sound like a dream job, I would love it as well!! Paid to have fun... sure 0
