So, I’ve been suffering with an itchy rash (yes, I know, Thailand, so leave it out) on my knees that I put down to mosquitoes or some such creature. Following a ride to Sampran dragon temple last Saturday I’ve realised that it’s the bloody knee pads in my bike jeans that are giving me a heat rash!
It’s either hot and humid, hot and dry or hot and wet here, seasonally, so any suggestions?

1> are you sure the rash wasn't there before and the knee pads make it worse?
2> if the knee pads caused it, you could always put another piece of material underneath to cover your knee so the material doesn't rub. like one of those pull over knee braces.
i had a similar problem with the knee pads in my winter pants where they aren't adjustable enough to sit in the correct place and started to hurt my knees everytime i moved them (like putting my feet down at a stop etc). eventually i just removed the pads and the problem is gone. i know it wasn't the best idea, but now the pants are 100% better and usable, rather than me not riding in the cold, or having to wear 3 other layers of pants instead.

@jdock: Was I? Gosh, how silly of me!
I thought I was asking a question about an issue arising from motorcycle protective clothing in a hot environment.
I promise to do better.
