Before the snow flies, I should be the owner of a Rebel 300 or 500. I want to ride it up to Vermont, about 190 miles, 300 kilometers. The 3 dealers in the state seem to have decent stock of bikes, keep tuned in.

Q- everybody pushes for the 500. Is there much difference in Insurance for the 500 over the 300? I may try to register and insure it in Vermont. Short season there compared to Florida!

Not sure about the 300, but I'm paying $108 per year for full coverage on my 500.

It's my first bike, but I'm also 41 with a clean driving record. Your mileage may vary.

I would think it all depends on driving record and where you live. Here in Florida, insurance is very expensive for anything on the road, especially if you get full coverage to include non-insured motorists.

41? I said I'm older than dirt. lol My record has 1 blemish. Thanks all. 108 a year sounds darn good!

Color wise, if I can pick I want the matter silver.
