Maybe we need this thread on this forum, so new buyers can know what to expect. I'm buying mine tomorrow, after tax, license, etc and adding an additional 3 yr warranty I'll be at $7194.40 for my 500 ABS. My local credit union hooked me up with 2.49% on the financing. So with that rate, ill finance the whole thing and use my money for add ons!

Curious how much the warranty was?

$580. I figure since it's a new model, there might be some issues with it as sometimes happens with any new vehicle model. So I don't mind the extra dough for the warranty
That is kinda crazy because that would mean you paid under MSRP for the bike itself to get that price.
MSRP 6300
Warranty 580
Tax 378
Would put you at 7258, and that is without registratoin or anything. So you got a goot deal paying less than that. Nice find.

Dang good price Jet Noise. I paid $7250 out the door in So Cal and not ABS either.
I paid $7050.00 OTD here in SoCal. I called almost every dealer in a 100 mile radius from me and that was the lowest I can OTD price that I can bargain stealerships down to. My local stealer agreed to match that price since I just got a versys 300 from them a couple of weeks before that so I guess that also played a factor in my OTD price. Remember, this is a brand new model which has barely been introduced so stealerships can pretty much ask whatever price they want for it. When I was calling, i was quoted several prices of $7700-$8200 OTD price which was absurd. Not sure if the prices will stabilize over time but it's looking like it'll be a hot seller and the trend of high prices will continue. Cheers and good luck to those waiting to get one.

All the dealers in WA are telling me about 7.8k for a Rebel 500 with ABS. I really want to ride this summer, Rebel is such a beautiful looking bike but i cant decide if its worth the mark up or just to buy a cheaper bike. Rebel 300 seem a bit to sluggish for my 230lbs.
