Purchased my Rebel 300A for $4875 otd. Loving it. Since I'm first time rider I need to spend some time in the neighborhood before I can get in to the streets. Looking forward to share my experience with other riders

Welcome! Have you taken the MSF course?

Edit: nevermind, I see from another post you took the course last year.

Honestly, it took me no time at all to get used to riding in traffic. I took the course before I bought the bike.. and my first time riding outside of a parking lot was the day I picked up my 500.

Within a couple weeks, I was commuting 50 miles round trip on highways and interstates back and forth to work in St. Louis.

Good choice on a first bike, I just hope you don't get bored of it too soon. If you do, there's always the Rebel 500
