Hello everyone, I am a new rider just getting into the sport. Upgrading from a inherited Honda PCX 150 that I used to practice the basics on. I just ordered my Rebel 500a this morning and should have it by the end of the week. Until then I am researching everything I want to modify and order the parts I can find.

Welcome and congrats. I still have my PCX 150, and it made the transition much easier and loads of fun. Less worry about the basics of driving while also getting used to clutches, the weight, the power and the size. Size relative to a PCX anyway.

No, I didn't test ride her. I have zero experience shifting gears on motorcycles. I am signed up for the 2 day safety course, but it's weeks away due to my work schedule. I have spent about 2 months researching which bike I wanted to get for my first motorcycle. In the end, I love the appearance, feel, features and the price of the bike. The cheapest Harley with abs would have been over 10k out the door. I walked away with this baby for $6700 for the abs version out the door. Because I am just getting into the sport I was hesitant to dump the 10k on the Harley until I am more experienced.
