I have just ordered a Rebel 500. I am 67 and don't ride very much anymore. I have just sold my BMW R1200RT, because I wanted something lighter and with a lower seat. My first bike was a new '68 Honda CB450. One of my all-time favorite bikes was my '88 Honda 1100 Shadow. In 2000, I sold the Shadow and bought a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide....nice bike but TOO heavy! Then, in 2005, I sold it and bought the BMW.....a REALLY nice bike! I'm hoping that the light weight and low seat height of the Rebel will put the fun back in riding for me.

Welcome.
Without a doubt the Rebel will be neat and easy to handle, it's a ridiculously easy bike to ride, so I'm sure you'll find it satisfying.
Be aware thou that the stock seat ain't the most comfy, and perhaps you'll have the same struggle as Kenny here with slight problem getting your feet up on the pegs?
Replacement seat options are not too shabby anymore, there are variouse options out there now. Not everyone with the best quality however.
