I know there are not many options currently for a direct fit exhaust for this bike. So I was curious if anyone has done any exhaust changes yet.
I decided I didn't want to wait any longer. I also didn't want the normal sport bike style exhaust that is made for the CBR and CBF versions of the bike and did not want to pay the 400+ dollars for the two bros design.

So I ordered a turn out exhaust since I wanted the bike to have a cruiser style exhaust.

This obviously won't be direct slip on so I starting making the modifications to get it ready.

While testing some stuff yesterday I decided to test the bike with no muffler, since the turn out pipe doesn't have a ton of baffle.
And my god, without a muffler the bike sound amazing. I wasn't reving it , just at idle it had a deep growl that just sounded like what a motorcycle should sound like.
I am really hoping to keep that sound, but a bit quieter than with no muffler.

To do this I had to make a middle link pipe between the Cat and the muffler. The muffler will arrive on Monday and I will see if I can get it all assembled where it doesn't look like a hack job. I will post pics and a sound clip once it is all done.

So has anyone else done something similar?

Total cost of this will be about $100 and that includes buying another baffle/silencer incase it is to loud or it needs more back pressure.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered the Two Brothers Comp-S slip on. They make good stuff, and looking around the price is pretty much on par with a lot of other high end slip ons for other bikes.

They are, however, still in production and not yet shipping. Should be ready somewhere around the end of the month.

I'll be sure to post a before/after video when it comes in.

How did you order it? It isn't even available for preorder.
If you are spending that much, I sure hope you are getting the bike Dyno Tuned.

They must have updated the website (shows as being sold out). Jake from TBR called me the day after I ordered it and told me about the delay...said I was the 6th call he'd made so far that day.

That's the only thing I could find on it. It says Closed Course only though.
TBR is in California, which I assume has EPA emissions testing for motorcycles, hence the disclaimer. My state does not.

Just checked that slip on out, it actually looks really good. lol. Paired with a new downpipe, it would rock even more. lol.

I am pretty sure basically every exhaust mod is illegal. So that is why they put the disclaimer. But most states don't inforce it as much as CA.

The stock exhaust is gonna go, some day!
Really don't like that huge cigar at the end.. It just looks totally wrong on the bike.
But, as most people, I'm waiting paitiently, to let the marked catch up with some mods and alternatives.
But do post pics and video when you are done!!

That does sound awesome, just tried it. I like your plan, a little quieter but keep that deep sound.

I contacted Twobros last week and they said they should be available in stock in (2) weeks.
So if anyone's still interested, they should be up by end of next week.
Glad to hear that! I ordered mine on the 22nd of last month.. got a call from Jake the next day saying it was gonna be a month to a month and a half before they were actually ready to ship.
