Until my exclusive, patented Rebel water seat is approved by the safety regulators - not sure they like the idea of being able to remove it and use it as a hot water bottle in bed on cold winter nights - I suggest you visit a good upholsterer.

There are quite a few in the U.K. who specialise in remaking seats using a variety of materials. I’m sure there must be some near where you live? Maybe a car upholsterer could help? It would be less expensive than buying one from the custom seat manufacturers such as .....

The seat is bad because Honda’s bean counters couldn't care less.

Hello! I don't know how I lived before my Rebel but now I go where I wanna go! but my butt hurts pretty bad. Can't walk after an hour ride. Any cushion or seats that anyone can recommend that is not out of stock? I would love to ride further and longer.
I tried the spring seat made in Covid-central, but it is far too small for my 3-axe-handle arse and made the rider sit about 2 to 3 inches higher and rolls on corners. Took the stock seat into an upholsterer and he added "elephant foam" and nailed it back together for $80. I've added a gel cushion and a sheepskin cover to the lot. Rides OK but the seat is not as comfortable as my DL650 nor the Honda Varadero seats. Rebel is just a commuter bike really, half an hour then jump off to regain circulation.

I found a gel pad did not help, but that together with some more foam was good. (On another bike that time). If I had a tailbone problem I would like to see a heart-shaped cutout in the foam at the back edge of the seat.
I just found out you can adjust the rear suspension but hand. It’s factory set to 2 I set mine to 3 then 4. It’s 1-5 settings. I’m 5’9 180 lbs. 4 and 3 seem better for me. I may go back to 3

Looking mighty fine there Long Beach Gary. That Mustang does look like it's a LOT more cushion than the stock seat. What's the longest ride you have taken so far and what did your butt say? :D That little back part that comes up like that, does it kinda "hug" your upper cheeks? Have you ever tried the Corbin before? Someone commented that the long term solution is Corbin, just trying to get a feel for which one to go for...I only plan to get one. Both are spendy but worth it.
The wife and I have the Corbins. They are nice but it did take about 1700 miles to break in. Honestly it was not much more comfortable than stock for like the fist 1000 miles but now I can ride about 120 miles before I need a break and by that time I am usually filling up with gas so it all works out.
