I'm a new rider from the Canadian Prairies who decided for her 30th birthday she would get her motorcycle license and a bike. I've wanted one since I was a little kid when zipping around the farm on our Honda dirt bikes.

With my short stature, the fact that my province is completely flat, and 95% of my riding will be within city limits, I decided that the new Rebel 300 ABS was the perfect bike for me to start out with. I'm currently impatiently waiting for that call from the dealership when I can pop in and pick it up. The waiting is killing me! Argh!

Anyway -- Hello!

I took my training course on a lowered Yamaha TW200, was looking into a used Yamaha V-Star 250, but fell in love with the Rebel and just had to have one! Agh!

My wait has been made a bit easier considering the fact that it snowed again [email protected]#$! Thankfully, the longer I wait the more streets the city has cleaned of sand and gravel (and potholes filled, oy!)

Honda dirt bikes on the farm :D

Put some dual sport tires on your 300, and put a high side pipe exhaust on it, to get the pipe out from under the frame,
and you'd have a real useable, fun, dirt capable machine.
An old school scrambler.
