Hello all,
I live in Sydney Australia and I am seriously think about buying a Rebel 500. We only have the 500 ABS here, the 300 and the sans ABS models are not available. I used to ride about 20 years ago but life took me away from it for a long while. Now I'm looking to get back into it.
I've been lurking around the forums for a few weeks now, following what you've been chatting about. I'd like to acknowledge the great community you have created, everyone is very helpful and open to discussion about all aspects of the machine we have all chosen to take an interest in.
My purchase of the Rebel is unfortunately contingent on my work situation which hopefully will be sorted in the next few weeks. If it falls favourably then I will be looking to get a bike ASAP after that. In the meantime I am doing as much research as I can ahead of time.
Reading the forums I have several questions to throw at you, I'll address each of these in the appropriate thread. Until then I'll keep lurking and learning.
Keep the rubber side down!
Fletch
