I didn't see any other posts here so maybe I am the first? Anyway I am super interested in this new bike from Honda. I am not a cruiser fan but this bike brakes most of the old rules and the design grows on me every time I see it. There is a lot of hate for this bike from the old timers and to be honest that only makes me like it more. Can't wait to see one in the local dealer's showroom.

sure seems like you were the first of many here and once these launch like the rest of us currently we'll be burried in all the other posts from the new guys.

glad to have someone I can relate to since cruisers never appealed to me, i'm actually more of a naked sport guy. if i like the rebel 500 enough... naked sport ambitions will be dropped completely. I have some hope in Honda.

Gosh darn, so you're the real OG of this forum it seems. I'm actually on the opposite end, I didn't want to start off with sport bikes or anything, wanted to be different and that this is. Especially where I am located, all the younger guys are all about sport bikes. I want to stand out and keep my back in good condition haha.

Just got the 500 5 days ago and I am loving the crap out of it! Fun, small and super easy to handle. I am interested in performing some mods in the near future, so I will be checking in often for advice and to see other peeps pictures!

I already replaced the exhaust with a TBR. Great choice. I had planned removing the rear fender and buying a tail from eBay but I changed my mind. I have also purchased a wind screen, very small but helps with wind at higher speeds. I am still looking for a better seat. My behind gets tired afue 1.5-2 hours of constant riding. Any suggestions???
