Wanted a rear luggage carrier but didn't fancy the price of the Honda one so started to make my own. Hopefully get the brackets finished this weekend and sent for powder coating black.

Anyway. More progress tonight. I made the side fixing brackets and mounted the rack. Just need to sort out bushes for the mounts (the big penny washers are temporary) then get it powder coated black. I'll also make pannier stays out of another 4 spanners to keep bags off the calliper.

Your rack looks good to me. Amazing the different ideas that come from young minds. Most of the racks I have ever had on my bikes were quite difficult to attach bungee cords and cargo nets. You have the perfect rack for hooking stuff to.

Super cool! I wasn't sure how it'd look mounted but I actually dig it a lot. Especially once it's powder coated black i think it's going to look great since it won't be so bright compared to the rest of the bike

Getting there. Not had much chance recently but had a couple hours today so knocked up the pannier stays. Pics shows work in progress. Now finished and off to the powercoaters for satin black coat.
