Hi all, had my 500 for about a week. After a few days I noticed while riding there is an acrid smell and blueish white smoke from the casing / oil tank area by the right foot peg. It also seems to be getting quite hot there - I can easily feel the heat through jeans and boots. There is no smoke from the exhaust or leakages under after overnight parking. Other than that bike runs great, no noticeable power loss. I'll contact the dealer as its under warranty but do you have any ideas what the cause might be? I bought the bike in Thailand and my Thai is terrible so communication might be challenging. Any keywords or phrases I should look out for / use when I call them?

Thanks 01. Most of my trips are short and Bangkok is known for the humidity. I called the dealerahip and they said that a little smoke from that area is reasonable for brand new bikes as any excess oil / chemicals get heated. Hopefully it'll all be good soon :)
