I see that they have pre-orders and pre-order specials, but I'm unsure of when they'll be in dealerships. No idea on allotments either.

Pre-order process is open and Rebels are showing up at Motorcycle shows, best of all you can sit on them. So with that level of interaction, SOME dealers might have them. Best thing to do is call up your local dealers

It all depends where you are located. If in North America the release date is said to be in April. Some dealers will let you pre-order now. But they told me they won't be at the dealership to actually see or sit on until April.

Actually, I spoke to my local salesman about this just this morning! For Honda Powersport locations/superstores, the ship date is March 25, and for regular Honda dealerships a week later minimum. That's about as specific an answer as I can give for now, but they'll be calling me first thing when these arrive, and I'll post again then.

Essentially yes. March 25th, may as well consider that April. First week after, again, April lol. At least we have a more determined time-line... however, if you're real excited, sign up for that pre-order and call it a day.

Yea I agree I am pretty excited myself. They don't have actual preorders really starting at the dealerships in my area till next month. But I was able to go get them to actually put in the order for the Rebel I wanted. I just have to go back in the middle of march to make that pre order officially "mine".
Can't wait.

Starting to think we should get people to post dealers they're familiar with, that might help in seeing what they post on social media. Often that's a good way to follow the overall timeline of a new bike.

Eh spoke to dealer today. Apparently Honda is not shipping the rebels until april 28th.

Have you talked to them this week? I was told originally early april by the dealer. But now the bikes show an actual shipping on date.

Actually even the press releases from this week have honda stating late april.

So that settles that then. I'm not too worried about it though, my season won't be starting until later on so I'm all good.

We just got a blizzard here, but last year I started riding my bike the first week of march. We prob won't have good enough weather till April this year.

I talked to a few dealerships. One of them said early May, but the other two are saying April.

Honda hosted an event with Aviator nation at SXSW this week. In their press release they said this about the aviator nation version and the regular version.
"The custom bikes go on sale at Aviator Nation stores in July, but pricing hasn't yet been released. Meanwhile, regular Rebels arrive in Honda motorcycle dealers in late April. Either way, you've got a chance to drive off in style."

I put a deposit down on a 500ABS at my local "dealer" today . They had no idea about anything. He even asked if I knew when they were supposed to get them.

Since these are refundable deposits I think I might do the same at another dealer or two around here.

I don't think I would give any dealer a down payment who didn't know anything about when the bike would arrive. Did they even order one yet?

Unless its refundable and you have that in writing, then you`ll be in the clear. Right now for some people its more about holding their spot in line to get the bike ASAP than perfection.
