Hi,

My fuel gauge is blinking. I drove 140 miles since the last filling, for information.

How much petrol is left, in your opinion?

Thanks

Actually (I just checked), it is a generic booklet, explaining warranty and service mileage not even for the CMX.
The dealer has filled the next mileage and the reference of the model.

The bike should get around 180 miles per tank. But that would be running it dry. And normally the gauges are just an estimated amount left and do not decrease in a linear way.

Fred, you should have gotten an instruction manual with your bike, mine (in Dutch) is 120 pages and full of important information about your bike, talk to your dealer about it, you really need this.

I think I'm the super paranoid type and typically start hustling for a gas station as soon as I get under 1/4 tank lol

Fuel filling this morning : 273km -> 10l -> 3.66 l/100km

170 miles -> 10l -> 2.64 gallons -> 64.4 mpg.

The consumption is going slightly down.

You are twisting the throttle a tad more vigorously, sir.

My average fuel economy over the first 400 miles is 55.5 mpg. So, my safe range for a tank of fuel is 150-160 miles. Hopefully my avg mpg will increase as the engine gets broken in.

He said consumption is going down. Meaning he got better gas mileage.
You are correct, I mis-remembered his 62 mpg on a different thread.

Fred, it is time to start twisting that throttle!
