In stock form my 1100t was getting about 120 Miles before the gas light would come on. I installed a power commander 6 with the default fuel map (which is the only one available), and a K&N air Filter. I now get 111 miles before the gas light comes on. I'm assuming this is because of the pc6 using a higher fuel mixture. I'm okay with this because now the low speed control is much more smooth and not so sensitive and stutter.

I also have a two brothers slip-on coming soon which I will add to this as well.

What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting before your gas light comes on I'm used to getting about 160 miles per tank but I don't think I could reach that on this bike and I don't want to risk running the fuel pump dry.

I contacted Dynojet and ask them if there are any other fuel Maps available for aftermarket pipes and a K&N and they said the only map available is the stock one which in the notes is designed for all stock equipment. But even despite this it's still much better and since I'm not using headers the bike is somewhat stock anyway with just a slip on and a K&N air filter.

what Joel Espinoza said

quote:

"Fuel pumps are cooled by fuel moving through them, and dont run dry for long, so not sure exactly what your concern is there.

Never been a fan of piggyback hackjob ECU control, personally I would much rather flash the ECU if a decent one is available."

here's a couple of pictures I took of the fuel pump out of my 1100

fuel flows up from the pump section through electric motor cooling it...path in blue

green line is path of bypassed fuel released by pressure regulator

I love my 2024 1100T..everything but the fuel tank capacity.. I am seriously thinking about taking the tank off this next down season, and having a fabrication Welder split the tank and add 2" to the center..
I'm finding myself having to re-engineer something that Honda should have figured out when they designed the bike.. nobody I've talked to who owns an 1100T is happy about the small fuel capacity.. what ever happened to focus groups? Honda would have been called out on this way before production ever started..

Going from your dash for the mileage gets you a nice estimation.
When you want to know exactly, there are apps for that.
Like Fuelio, also on the I-Phone
There will be more apps like that....

Each time you get gas, you input your odo count and the amount of gas you get.
The app calculates your mileage.
In case you just add a bit, just set the marker that you didn't make it full.
The app will take that in account and gets you the correct mileage the next time you completely fill it up.

I have been using that app for years now, and it works good.
Can also keep record of all your expenses and gives you graphs on prices and spendings and mileage etc.
