Decided on Two Bros over Vance & Hines for availability of DB killer if needed. Everyone is sold out. Two Bros told me next batch is out for coating and would be few weeks. Happened to call Revzilla (showing "Out of Stock"). They said they had one. Bought it over the phone. 3 days later and installed this evening. I painted their ridiculous shiny clamp and bolt with flat black grill paint. Then about 10 mins to install. Incredible sound. Less than half the weight of stock pipe. Loud but not neighbor complaint loud unless you are at 5K through the 'hood. Pics:
Great pictures.
Any plans for a video? I’d like to hear some more examples of the sound in drive by situations.
I’d like more volume but nothing obnoxious.

I called Two Bros and Vance & Hines. Neither is planning to make a straight pipe for this bike. Will have to pick another option if you want to run bag on the right.
I'd hooked up my Two Bros slip on for the 500 onto my 1100 and had it on for 50 miles or so but there was a significant lag on initial acceleration. It's the same pipe, but the 1100 model has a little more length in connection pipe, which could conceivably help with the issue on my set up.
No issues. If anything a little better after saving a few pounds and letting her breath. The idle kind of stumbled a little for the first few mins after first start. Guessing the computer was figuring out the new tune. No issues since.
Two Bros we’re potentially going to make a straight pipe, not upsweep for the Rebel 1100. I tried to email them about this potential but emails bounced back. Strange.
I asked Vance and Hines about the same thing and they said... no they are not going to make anything else but the upswept one they have... hopefully TBR will.
I am not sure on those. They look a bit better, but the back tip doesn't seem any lower than the stock muffler, and its the highest point that matters the most. I am not sure why they can't just make them actually straight... parallel to the ground, instead of at angles.
If Two Bros would sell non-upsweep pipes with their same fantastic sound would be a big seller and make it much easier to attach a bag.
But first they need to fix their email link.
Whichever replacement exhaust you choose, does the bike need to be re-tuned (for instance dyno-tuned) to ensure that the fuel injection is correct? Surely making the engine breathe easier makes the mixture leaner? And does changing the exhaust invalidate the warranty?
No because all the emission technology is forward of the muffler. Catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, are part of the headers so anything downstream should make zero difference to anything except sound.
The A/F and HO2S sensors will do their job and the ECU will learn fuel trim on the open loop again. This is similar to when the ECU switches from low-octane to high-octane fuel and vice versa with help of knock sensor.
What was your solution for adding the passenger foot peg and it’s extra long bolt with the exhaust ?
