I installed a new seat I ordered off Amazon today. This isn't a genuine "Mustang" seat, but it is one that pops up if that's what you search for, and it's less than half the price. I'm pretty happy with it so far: more support, more comfortable, slightly higher ground clearance. The only caveat I would have is that with this seat you'd best go to the hardware store and get some new bolts that are the next size larger, or you're going to have a heck of a time getting the shorter Honda OEM bolts to engage their retaining nuts.

Looks good, thanks for the link. Could've used a new seat before i rode my rebel across the country lol. Might have to look into this one!
I just did a cross country trip (2500 miles) on my 2017 CMX500 and decided I need to find a better seat. This looks like this might be the one! Thanks!
