Honda australia stop gouging us

I just got back from the dealer after chasing down an owners manual for a member here.

"Yes, we can get you one, but are you sure you want it?"

"Why, will it take too long to get here?"

"No, it's just that it'll cost you AUD$128."

One. Hundred. Twenty. Eight. Dollars! :surprise:

After I got up off the floor and recovered my senses, I politely declined and left.

This is just another example of Honda Australia gouging its customers.

Add that to the:

Solid Gold handlebar helmet lock at AUD$95 (similar ones on eBay AUD$30 to 40).

Unobtanium rear carrier rack at AUD$635 (luckily my dealer knocked almost $100 off for me).

I know the bike is new but there is no reason to justify such exorbitant mark-ups on stuff they get made in Thailand for peanuts.

End rant.

The same rack, from the same precious metal costs close to double that in Israel (3300NIS). I seriously doubt it costs more than 30USD to manufacture in a factory. I'm saving my meagre funds to pay a craftsman to fabricate one for me, unless I can get a friend to fetch the Hepco Becker one from Germany.

Jim, I'm guessing you can buy an electronic version of the manual, no? There was a thread about it here.
