Bar End grips

Anyone have experience with bar end grips? Do they help with vibes and can I mount mirrors in the ends? I dropped my bike two days ago after some dude cut me and my escape path off. The grips, throttle assembly are trashed. So are the levers. Mirror and muffler each have a minor scuffs and somehow, my knee I guess, dented the tank. So since the original grip broke I figured maybe I'll try bar end grips and I may get a tank cover, ick, if the stock tank is expensive. Stay tuned and I'll post the estimate for the forum to reference.

I'm assuming you have a bionic knee if you bent the tank with it and already planning on riding again so soon
