Anyone install a Remote Kill Switch?

Hey all,

Couldn't find any post related to my query and wasn't sure if this qualifies as general discussion or accessory type post so I apologize in advance. I plan to take a road trip to the UK (London specifically) and was wondering if anyone has installed a remote kill switch type circuit for anti-theft? My greatest fear is getting bike jacked as I hear motorcycle theft related crime is on the rise throughout the UK. I couldn't bear to see my baby being stolen from under me. Your thoughts?

Why not just lock the forks?

Kill switch or not, they can't ride it away.

Yes, that is what I mean. From what I hear people in the UK are wising up to the usual stationary bike theft, thieves have been emboldened to steal the bike while you are riding it!

Ahh, gotcha. I carry a gun for that lol.

Guess you can't do that in the UK, though.

Another option is a security system that requires a fob to be within a certain distance for the bike to run.

The most effective thing you can do, is install a gps tracker.

None of you locks and chains will work, simple because thieves are coming with a grinder. Itís just a matter of a time.

But the tracker gives you a possibility to find it late.

Once they stole it, they usually leave a bike somewhere on a road covered. To check, does it have a tracker or not. Some idiots of course can bring it home, in that case you know where they live.

I Russia I saw people installing a capsule with a smoke which you can explode remotely. I'm not sure it's legal in the UK.
