Gazza,

Are you letting the clutch out the whole way after each shift?

Are you taking your foot off of the gear shift after each shift?

The most common problem with incomplete shifts and missing gears can be attributed to the two above conditions.

Tighten the clutch cable. I have a video on my YouTube channel how to do it. Very simple. Check the repair threads for the video.

It's also sometimes difficult to shift down multiple gears into first if you're not moving.

I downshift as I slow down, so that I'm in first or neutral by the time I stop, depending on how long the stop is gonna be.

That's a great video for new riders. Hope you keep putting out new ones. Thanks a ton and safe riding friend.

If you were changing multiple gears without releasing the clutch, then the gears won't always full engage. When changing gears and this happens just release the clutch till you hear the gears engage and then you should be good
