Indicator lights and kick stand

Hey guys, I was out riding today and noticed the green arrows on my speedometer (the indicator indicators) were faintly on continuously as I rode. When I used my indicators the lights functioned normally but when I switched them off again the arrows would stay on constantly, though only dimly.
When I got home I then saw that the arrows went out when weight was put on the kick stand. Not just when it was down, but when it took the weight of the bike.
It seems odd to me, has anyone else seen or heard of this?
Any ideas what might be causing it?

There is a safety switch activated by the kickstand, you might want to check and see if the kickstand fasteners are tight and the electric connections are clean and tight. Also, cycle the emergency flasher switch a few times.

Good Luck,
