Love this license plate helmet lock.

I purchased this helmet lock. Cost $45 US, from Amazon. I debated the cheaper frame locks, but couldn't find a suitable location that I was comfortable with.

I super love it, and have been using it for 2 1/2 months now. I highly recommend it.

Is it really that much of an issure for you guys?
Here we just leave it with our bike, and it'll be there when we come back. Never felt the need to lock the helmet to the bike..

Yes, the sad truth. They make helmet locks, bike locks, alarms, chains, and tracking devices because the World contains challenging areas.

But more important to me is now I don't have to carry my helmet around, and the famous "Wizard of Oz" winds here in the Mid-West USA won't blow my gear off my bike.

Helmets hitting the ground is never a good thing!

Ofc, that's true. Ain't gonna say that each and every spot in Norway is equally safe... Was thinking more in general thou

Well, instead of hitting the ground now, it'll keep hitting your bike repeatedly instead... Not sure that's such a good thing either. And should you be so unlucky that it starts to rain then your helmet will get wet inside as well.

Nice set-up, not looking at those yet, but if I need to, that is a player. Thanks

I like that a lot. Would it work for helmets that don't use D-rings?

Unfortunately it can be, I've even heard of people cutting the D-ring strap to take the helmet. I have a combo lock with an extendable cable I pass through the visor opening on my Shoei Neotec so I can secure to the bike.

One of my helmets has the Euro quick release. But they also added a D ring just for this reason.

I did see you can purchase D rings to add to a strap that is lacking one.

Those are nice also. This one I got is quick and convienenant. Just seconds to unlock and relock.

I take the risk of a strap cutting squid, but it keeps 99.9% of the grab and run types honest.

If I'm going into the city or leaving the bike for more than 10 mins, I use my cheap 7/11 helmet
My HJC would be gone in a flash over here, prob not worth the expense of the helmet lock for me.
