wired up an always hot 12v source

to power my Garmin Montana GPS, plug a phone charger in if needed for a quick charge if it should go dead on me out in the middle of nowhere and to plug in a battery maintainer in the off season.

Mounted the receptacle on the left side of top fork bridge.

Threaded a fused line directly from battery to receptacle. In this picture you can see the mini fuse holder and the wires entering a loom heading to the receptacle, the Idea gear indicator plugged into the red service port and a phone charger I can take out and plug into the receptacle if needed. (might have to put the phone charger in a baggie or dry sack the next time I take the seat off)

Garmin Montana 610 mounted.

Kenny G, Prgrmerror, R80rt and 1 others like this.
