Run what ever you want, I'll do my own thinking and not rely on electronics to do it for me.

Only a fool would attempt it, and God help me, I am that fool.

As I am using the 300 for a "Tug" with the sidecar I find the indicator very useful, I would also like to have a tachometer.

This is my first single in many years and I am still not in touch with the sounds coming from it. At my age my hearing isn't all that great either.

Anyone know of a good add on tach? I am a little concerned about over revving.

The rev limiter should keep you safe from over revving, but a visual would be nice. Sidecars are a blast to ride, I miss my old Ural rig. I understand about the ears, mine ain't what they used to be.

I don't think you have to worry about over-reving as there is a rev-limiter on most of the newer bikes.

Is that a Velorex? Those are nice sidecars. You have a great looking rig, I'm jealous! Oh yeah, sidecars are made for dogs, and kids, they both love them.
My Ural Tourist was just like yours and the mechanical reverse was great, I loved to see the look on peoples faces when I popped it to reverse and backed out.

R80rt,

Yes, that is a 2018 Velorex 562 Cruiser hooked to a 2018 Rebel 300 ABS. It is just the right size tub for the Rebel.
I use it pretty much in the city only, no freeway. 55 MPH, top cog, WFO. You can only ask so much from a 300cc engine.

Excellent for rides in the country with my Pup, "Tucker".

It's a good looking combo, and has to be handy and fun. I'll bet Tucker is always ready to go for a ride.

R80rt,

Yes he loves that thing! All of my Pups over the years liked riding in a hack.

This is the first sidecar rig I ever owned, the tug is a 1984 Honda Ascot 500 V-Twin 6 Speed shaft drive. The hack is an older California Sidecar. I spotted it on the side of the road with weeds growing up around it. The owner let me have it for 50 bucks.
That was also Butch's first rig, we travelled many miles together in that thing!
