Sintered pads are for racing. They are good when warm but rather scary when cold. Imagine you pull the brake lever and not much happens.
Some wally put sintered pads on my last Virago and it was no fun at all to ride until they had warmed up - mind you the reason that they warmed up was that they were constantly grinding on the disc.
Unless you want to use the bike on the race track only, I would not recommend sintered pads for road use.
Not everything that is made for racing is "better" than the stock/normal parts.
