Vulcan 650s vs Rebel 500?

My wife has a 2017 Rebel 300 abs that I really enjoy riding. I was thing of getting the 500 but then I ran across the Kawasaki Vulcan 650s and I like the way it looks and it does not cost that much more then the Rebel 500. I was wondering if anyone here has first hand experience with the 650s and if so how would you compare it to the Rebel?

Thanks in advance

I have no experience with the Vulcan S, but the guys that I know that have them like them.
The big advantage is the handle bars and foot controls are movable to fit the rider.

Use the search feature: https://www.hondarebel3forum.com/for...l-no-more.html There are also reviews on line.

I looked at the Vulcan S to replace my 1 year old Rebel 500, hoping for more acceleration. I didn't like the forward foot controls vs my riding position on the Rebel. I also stand on the pegs on bumpy roads. I'll keep the Rebel for now.

I am agree, and the Rebel is so cool to customize contrary to the Vulcan (for me)

To me, the Vulcan is one ugly motorcycle.

I'm sure you've probably already seen these but there's a few comparison videos on youtube. No surprise to any of us here on the forum as to which one pretty much comes out on top. Though it may depend on what you're looking fo.

I thought some on here reported in about possibly or actually changing to the Vulcan. With a search you might find something useful on here. Its extra weight would be a disadvantage for me.

Just do it! (I did: 2017 Rebel 500; 2014 MT-07)

I hate to say it, but the Vulcan S is a better bike on paper (more power, better suspension, tach, more factory accessories, ergo-fit).

But...I still like the Rebel better for its handling, looks/styling, smaller size and simplicity. It's just a way cooler bike for me that makes me want to ride it all the time.

I think I am going to stick to the Rebel platform as it is a blank canvas and as fun as my wife's 300 is I cant wait to try out the 500. Thanks again.
