I've been on the Rebel 500 for just over a year now & have clocked up a little over 7,000miles. If you want to get more power out of your 500, M4Performance make a great slip on exhaust, ebay link below if you are interested:

If you are in the States, I'm down here in Aus', you can probably order direct from the manufacturer based in Texas. Since putting it on (which took about 10mins) the bike is louder (and easier to hear/see in traffic); accelerates better through all 6 gears, and sits at a faster top speed comfortably on the Freeway.

Definitely worth the investment.

as we talked about that took a long time for me to get used to Gary. I finally gave up trying to replace the switch , and just dealt with it. Oddly since I bought the KTM, that has the switch in the "correct" place, I have no problem switching back and forth.
