10w40 vs 10w30

Sorry in advance if this is a duplicate post. Quick question. The service manual says to use 10w30, but when i ordered an oil change kit off amazon, it came with a filter and honda 10w40. Should be fine right??

It's fine for warmer climate. 10w30 for cooler weather. The manual calls for 30, I don't think mentiones this, but read a few places that it's ok. Return and purchase the correct one if you are concerned, but I think it'll be fine...

The "40" weight is the weight when the temps are high.
Someone is Phoenix or southern Texas would want this in the summer.
It will not have an effect or your engine.
