No pressure on brake lever

Have a rebel 500 replaced MC and wire
Now I dont have any brake pressure on front, tried the manual way building pressure and leaving held and then opening valve and then closing repeated process for about an hour no pressure what so ever , can easily squeeze lever without no pressure
Was thinking about taking it to the shop but really domt want to spend money

I've never replaced a master cylinder on a bike, but I have done it a few times on a car. This might be a silly question, and may not even apply here - but did you bleed/prime the master cylinder? Even if you bleed the brake lines, if there is air trapped in the master cylinder you would still have little to no pressure when applying the brakes.

Have you kept pouring in more brake fluid as you've done this? The master cylinder only contains so much, have to keep topping it off as you go.
