Don't I know it.

I have a longer/wider truck and eight bikes now with very little in the way of maneuvering room once the door closes. No current pics, it's just too embarrassing how cluttered it looks by comparison.

ONLY 7 bikes? Lol, thought you got rid of some until you said now you have 8, lol.

If all of these are your bikes can you please explain the reasoning for having this many if you don't mind sharing? I can see myself maybe having 3 bikes, the Rebel, an Enduro, and maybe a dual sport, but seven? Is this some sick addiction?

I can help here. I'm living this pain right now.

I want a bike.
Ok, I want a bike that isn't a beginner bike.
Ok, this bike is really heavy, I want a light bike to feel young again.
What's a sport bike like?
I need a project.
These parts are expensive, I should find some donors.
I would like to go for a cruise, what kind of touring bikes are there.
I have too many bikes, now I need to get one that does everything- the keeper.
*Gets it and then just doesn't sell the others*

****, I have no space in the garage.
Wife: Well who's fault is that, you dumbass?
Me: doesn't matter, have bikes.

Apologies as I never saw the response until now.

I get to ride a different bike to work everyday, which confuses my enemies.

As you noted, now it is eight.

You could say that. I actually prefer the term "vice".

I had stopped drinking shortly after getting my first motorcycle which was a new purchase on payments --- I was piggy backing temporary 0% interest new credit card balance transfers which was a trick you could do back in the 90's...the banks wised up to that and put a stop to it around Y2K.

I started noticing an obscene amount of extra cash on hand after the bills were paid each month and it dawned on me just how much I was spending on hooch. I literally had a full bar in my kitchen that I kept stocked --- a full bottle behind every opened bottle. I had a bottle of Jack Daniels behind a partial bottle of Jack, a bottle of Crown Royal behind a partial bottle of Crown, a bottle of Hornitos behind a partial bottle of Hornitos, a bottle of 1800 behind a partial 1800, you get the idea, several of each flavor. Each day before work I would tally the empty or near empty bottles and buy back-ups after work. I'd get home and start the routine, and if I got hooked on one flavor I wouldn't have to ride or drive drunk to get more since I already had the back-up. When I stopped buying the bottles I soon had enough to pay off the bike, and after that enough to buy another bike, and another, and another.

In short I traded one vice for another.

Rebel 500 and Yamaha MT-07 nestled beside some of the woodwork workshop equipment from a previous life. The latter now used mainly to teach my grandchildren.
